Lactic Acid coated with hydrogenated palm oil or hydrogenated soybean oil will have a sharp release at say 55-60C (about 130-140F) or say 65-70C (about 150-160F). This can be called temperature based release. It is used in food production.

For Encapsulated Lactic Acid, we use Lactic Acid Powder of 60% assay with Calcium Lactate. It's granules are coated with Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil or Mono and Diglycerides.


Specfications of Encapsulated Lactic Acid:
Assay of Fumaric Acid: about 50%
Calcium Lactate: about 30%
Coating: about 20% or as required.
Percentage of Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil Coating: 15-20%
Lead: Not more than 2 mg/kg.
Maleic Acid: Not more than 0.1%.
Residue on Ignition: Not more than 0.1%.
Water: Not more than 0.5%.
