Lithium stearate or Lithium octadecanoate is a chemical compound with the formula LiO2C(CH2)16CH3. Lithium stearate is a white soft solid. Lithium stearate is used in lubricant-based greases and in food processing. It is used in in various makeup products such as eye shadow, blush, etc. It is also used as a corrosion inhibitos in petroleum.
