DESCRIPTION
Ethylene Dichloride occurs as a clear, colorless, flammable, oily liquid. It is slightly soluble in water, and is soluble in alcohol, in ether, and in acetone. Its refractive index at 20C is about 1.445.
Function: Extraction solvent.

REQUIREMENTS
Acidity (as HCl): Not more than 10 mg/kg.
Distillation Range: Between 82C and 85C.
Free Halogens: Passes test.
Lead: Not more than 1 mg/kg.
Nonvolatile Residue: Not more than 0.002%.
Specific Gravity: Between 1.245 and 1.255.
Water: Not more than 0.03%.
