A corrosion inhibitor is a chemical compound that, when added to a liquid or gas, decreases the corrosion rate of a material, typically a metal or an alloy. The effectiveness of a corrosion inhibitor depends on fluid composition, quantity of water, and flow regime. A common mechanism for inhibiting corrosion involves formation of a coating, often a passivation layer, which prevents access of the corrosive substance to the metal. We offer Corrosion Inhibitor used in Oil & Shale Gas fracturing, of more than 98% efficiency. Our product is biodegradable.
Our Corrosion Inhibitor CI-1 is the ONLY effective non-hazardous acid corrosion inhibitor currently available in the market place!
Applications:
Oil field – Pumped at 0.5 to 4 gpt with acid fluids to provide residual corrosion inhibition. Designed to form a protective film on metal surfaces. Used in acidizing and spearheading up to formation temperatures of 300 F.
Chemical Structure:
A blend of Organic Aldehydes, Nitriles, Surfactants, and Emulsifiers which has excellent inhibition rates against HCl (up to 35%), HF, and mixtures thereof in L80, N80, P110, 13Cr95, etc.
Compatibility:
Compatibility with known fracturing fluids when used as described.
Environment:
Not hazardous to the environment.
