Magnesium Ascorbate is a non-acidic form of Vitamin C that will not contribute to gastric irritation in acid-sensitive persons. Ascorbic Acid is commonly known as Vitamin C. Salts of Ascorbic Acid, such Magnesium Ascorbate and other Ascorbates may also be used in cosmetics and personal care products.

Specifications of Magnesium Ascorbate:
Appearance: Off white to yellowish powder.
Loss on drying: Not more than 10.0%.
pH: 6.0 to 8.5
Sulfate: 0.2% maximum.
Lead: 10 ppm maximum.
Arsenic: 3 ppm maximum.
Mercury: 1 ppm maximum.
Cadmium: 3 ppm maximum.
Assay as Magnesium: 5.50% to 6.50%
Ascorbic acid content (On drybasis): 80% minimum.
