Ferrous bisglycinate or Iron Glycinate is a nutritionallly active chelate of one molecule of ferrous iron covalently bound to two molecules of glycine. It is a highly bioavailable iron supplement. It is highly hygroscopic in nature. It should be stored in tightly closed containers away from the source of heat.

Appearance : Green coloured amorphous Powder, hygroscopic in nature.
Solubility : Soluble in water, practically insoluble in most of the organic solvents like Acetone & Ethanol.
Iron (Fe++) Content: 18.0% - 21.0%.
Nitrogen Content: 9.0 to 11.0%.
Arsenic: Not more than 3 ppm.
Mercurv: Not more than 3 ppm.
Lead: Not more than 25 ppm.
Cadmium: Not more than 25 ppm.
Copper: Not more than 60 ppm.
Zinc: Not more than 150 ppm.
