Acetyl Acetone Peroxide is good oxidizing agents. Acetyl Acetone Peroxide formulation is used to cure unsaturated polyester resins in room temperature and presence of cobalt accelerator at higher temperatures. Acetylacetone peroxide is a colorless to light yellow liquid with a sharp smell. It is often shipped as a solution or as a paste. it is used as a catalyst to make resins, vinyl, polyolefins and silicones. Generally, dilute solutions of peroxides (<70%) are safe, but the presence of a catalyst (often a transition metal such as cobalt, iron, manganese, nickel, or vanadium) as an impurity may even then cause rapid decomposition, a buildup of heat, and even an explosion. Acetyl Acetone Peroxide is Liquid Solution in alcohol or Dimethyl phthalate. It is a Curing agent for unsaturated polyester. Peroxides, such as Acetyl Acetone Peroxide, are good oxidizing agents. Organic compounds can ignite on contact with concentrated peroxides. Strongly reduced material such as sulfides, nitrides, and hydrides may react explosively with peroxides.
