Phosphoethanolamines DLPE
1,2-Dilauroyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphatidylethanolamine or DLPE or 1,2-Dilauroyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylethanolamine.
1,2-Dilauroyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphatidylethanolamine or DLPE or 1,2-Dilauroyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylethanolamine is a phosphatidylethanolamine with lauric acid. Phosphatidylethanolamine is a phospholipid found in all living organisms, particularly in nervous tissue. It serves as a precursor of phosphatidylcholine, and promotes membrane fusion, oxidative phosphorylation, mitochondrial biogenesis, and autophagy. 1,2-Dilauroyl-sn–glycero-3-PE is a phospholipid containing the long-chain (12:0) lauric acid inserted at the sn–1 and sn–2 positions.
